The Run, Med Coding, and Post-Run steps of production loads, can be retried should they fail in certain situations.

Retries are permitted in the following situations:

  • A connection with CDMS is lost
  • An intentional, manual stop occurs
  • Some records fail after the Run, Med Coding, or Post-Run steps are complete and the process is recoverable

How to Retry a Run

  1. After a failed step on the Load page, do not continue to the next step or select Reset Rules After Failure. Failed step dialog and Reset Rules After Failure option

  2. Contact your Veeva Services representative to request a retry of the failed step.
  3. After the step is retried, the production load will continue as intended.
  4. Return to the Load page to confirm that the failed step is now In Progress.

Migration Reset: If a retry does not fix a failed production run, a Migration Reset is required. Migration Resets are only implemented when a Migration is considered irrecoverable.
