Creating a Project

How to Create a Project

To create a Project:

  1. Click + Create.
  2. Enter the Name (typically the Name of the Study)
  3. Select a Project Status (typically Active)
  4. Select the Source.
  5. Click Save.

Create a Target Vault

A record in the Target Vault object records the relationship between your project and the target vault for the migration, typically your organization’s production envirnment.

To create a Target Vault:

  1. Open the Project.
  2. Click to expand the Target Vaults section.
  3. Click + Create.
  4. Enter the Name.
  5. Select the environment Type.
  6. Enter the Vault URL. This is the EDC vault’s DNS.
  7. Click Save.

Create Mapping Configurations

Records in the Mapping Configuraton object contain your mapping YAML files.

To create a Mapping Configuration:

  1. Open the Project.
  2. Click to expand the Mapping Configurations section.
  3. Click + Create.
  4. Enter the Name.
  5. Optional: Enter a Description.
  6. Optional: Enter a Note.
  7. Enter the Casebook Version number. This should match the Casebook Version for the Study you’re migrating data into in EDC.
  8. Click to expand the Attachments section.
  9. Drag and drop your files or click Upload to upload files one-by-one.
  10. Click Save.

Upload Source Data

To upload your source data:

  1. Click to expand the Source Data section.
  2. Click + Create.
  3. Enter the Name.
  4. Optional: Enter a Description.
  5. Optional: Enter a Note.
  6. Enter the Casebook Version number. This should match the Casebook Version for the Study you’re migrating data into in EDC.
  7. Click to expand the Attachments section.
  8. Drag and drop your files or click Upload to upload files one-by-one.
  9. Click Save.
