Tabs: Projects Ability to access the Projects tab

In some situations, the Validate & Stage step of a production load can be retried if it is not completed due to failure or a manual stop.

The following situations are eligible for a retry of the step:

  • Failure before or during the Validate phase
  • Failure during Staging
  • Manual stop during the Validate or Stage phases

The option to retry is not available for every use case.

How to retry Validate & Stage

  1. After you receive an email notification that the Validate & Stage step failed, return to the Load page of your project.
  2. Click Log Files in the Workflow Progress section to download and review a CSV of log file errors.
  3. Correct the errors listed in the log file.
  4. Contact your Veeva Services representative to request a reset of the Validate & Stage step.
  5. After the step is reset, return to the Workflow Progress section of the Load page.
  6. Navigate to the Validate & Stage step. The status now reads Not Started.
  7. Click Execute or Execute All to retry the step.

If files were updated during the reset, an error dialog appears, preventing you from proceeding with the load.

Unlike the retry of other steps, retrying the Validate & Stage step does not produce results from a Duplicate Detection Job. This step has its own de-duplicating system that runs concurrently. Duplicate data should never exist for the Validate & Stage step.
